Detail Information

Composite Steel Plate Cookware Blanks - Four Metal Layers, One Engineered Build

MESCO fabricates tri-wall composite steel plate for cookware blanks and OEM pans: a 0.6 mm brushed stainless steel cooking surface, a full-width 1.5 mm aluminium thermocore, a 0.4 mm polished copper outer wall and a 0.5 mm S/S 430 magnetic base. Each layer is bonded into a single warp-resistant body, so one plate delivers the cooking response of copper, the evenness of aluminium and the durability of stainless steel.

Triwall composite steel plate construction: 0.6 mm brushed S/S inner wall, 1.5 mm aluminium thermocore, 0.4 mm polished copper outer wall, 0.5 mm S/S 430 base

How the Four Layers Work Together

0.6 mm Brushed S/S inner wall

Non-reactive with acidic foods, resistant to metal utensils and easy to deglaze - a professional cooking surface that stays clean.

1.5 mm Aluminium thermocore

A full-width aluminium core that absorbs heat quickly and spreads it evenly across base and sidewalls, eliminating hot spots.

0.4 mm Polished copper outer wall

Copper responds almost instantly to burner changes, so pan temperature follows the flame in real time for precise control.

0.5 mm S/S 430 base

A magnetic stainless base that makes the finished pan induction-ready while keeping the exterior non-reactive.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can the layer thickness and diameter be customised?

Yes. MESCO adjusts each metal layer within the composite plate and the finished blank diameter to match your OEM specification. Share your target weight, size and cooktop requirements with our sales team.

Why does the plate need an S/S 430 base layer?

Type 430 stainless is magnetic, which is what makes the finished pan work on induction cooktops without a separate adapter disc. It also protects the copper wall from scratches on storage racks.

How does the aluminium thermocore improve cooking performance?

Aluminium stores and spreads heat faster than steel alone. A full-width core raises the whole base to cooking temperature quickly and holds it steady, reducing scorched sauces and uneven browning.

What is the MOQ and lead time for bulk cookware blanks?

[MOQ] pieces per size with a lead time of [lead time]. Larger programs can be phased with samples approved before production starts.
