What is the difference between hot dip galvanized and pre-galvanized steel pipe?
Hot dip galvanizing dips the finished pipe into molten zinc, producing a thicker, more durable coating (typically 210-550 g/m²). Pre-galvanized pipe is galvanized at the strip stage before forming, giving a thinner coating. For outdoor or corrosive environments, hot dip galvanized pipe is the better choice.
Can you customize the zinc coating thickness?
Yes. Our standard coating is ≥210 g/m², and we can increase it up to 550 g/m² for high-corrosion applications such as coastal or industrial environments.
