What wear-resistant steel grades does MESCO supply?
We supply NM360, NM400, NM450, NM500, NM600 wear plates and equivalent AR400/AR500 grades, plus high manganese steel (Mn13) for extreme impact and abrasion conditions.
What thicknesses are available for abrasion resistant steel?
Common thickness ranges from 3 mm to 100 mm in coil, sheet and plate form. Custom widths and lengths can be cut to your drawings.
Can wear-resistant steel be cut, bent and welded?
Yes. Laser, plasma and flame cutting, bending and drilling are all supported. For welding we recommend low-hydrogen electrodes and preheating depending on hardness grade.
Where is wear-resistant steel used?
Typical applications include dump truck bodies, excavator buckets, chutes, hoppers, mixer blades, crushers and any equipment exposed to sliding or impact abrasion.
