Aluminized Silicon products have good high temperature resistance. When the temperature is 450 ℃, it can ensure high reflectivity.When it is used for a long time under 550 ℃, it hardly changes. The aluminized silicon coated steel plate will maintain a bright appearance. Its heat resistance is equivalent to that of stainless steel 4 0 9 . The galvanized products will change color and be powdered at 300 ℃.
The aluminized silicon products have excelle nt corrosion resistance. The dense Al2O3 oxide film formed by the oxidation of the aluminum surface isolates the steel base from the oxidation medium, so that the coating will not cause further corrosion even under very bad environmental conditions, so it s corrosion resistance is very strong, and it also has good corrosion resistance to nitric acid, sea water, etc. the corrosion resistan ce of the aluminized silicon products is far greater than that of the galvanized products Product. The corrosion resistance of Alu minized Silicon products is 3-5 times that of galvanized products.

What is the difference between aluminized steel Type 1 (T1) and Type 2 (T2)?
Type 1 (T1) uses an aluminum-silicon coating (about 5–11% Si) and is designed for heat resistance up to about 677 °C continuous service; Type 2 (T2) uses a pure aluminum coating mainly for atmospheric corrosion resistance. In China, only Type 1 (T1) is produced, and MESCO is one of the top 3 T1 manufacturers.
What coating weights does MESCO supply?
MESCO is the first supplier to offer 240 g/m² coating and also supplies 300 g/m² aluminized steel. We are currently the exclusive company able to supply AS steel with aluminum coating over 240 g/m², and we keep AS120 ready stock coils.
Can aluminized steel withstand high temperatures?
Yes. The Al-Si coating keeps excellent oxidation resistance under high temperature. Combined with the steel base, MESCO aluminized steel performs well in heat exchangers, mufflers, oven liners, chimneys and other high-temperature components, and our salt spray test result exceeds 4,000 hours.
