Let MESCO STEEL help you answer today:1.Aluminized silicon steel plates may be mistaken by some suppliers as: aluminum zinc silicon coated steel, because their English translation keywords are very similar to it in Chinese, that is: Aluminized Steel is also translated as Aluminum Silicon Coated Steel , and the English translation of aluminium-zinc silicon can also be Aluminum Zinc Silicon Coated, or Alum-Zinc-Si Coated Steel, Alum-zinc Steel. Including their Chinese, in fact, there is only one word difference - “zinc”! Therefore, some unprofessional suppliers will regard aluminized steel plates as aluminum zinc coated (galvalume) steel plates! This leads to the following two possibilities:A: There is a quotation error: that is, aluminized silicon steel is quoted according to the price of aluminum zinc coated steel, and the price difference per ton is about 230 USD/MT.B: The goods received by the customer is aluminum zinc coated steel rather than aluminum-silicon coated steel, resulting in inability to use and huge losses!2.Compared with other coating steel products, the delivery time of aluminized silicon steel is not very stable! At present, there are 4 steel mills in China with production capacity, but only 1 has enough orders. It is still very difficult for the other three to organize bulk orders! Therefore the delivery time is not stable.3. Currently, all steel mills in China only have Type 1 (T1) aluminized silicon steel plate, not T2 aluminized steel plate. It has better processing performance and chemical resistance, and its cost performance is far superior to T2. It can replace T2 in most projects.4.During the procurement process, pay attention to the choice of grade: usually aluminized silicon steel is usually made of DX53/54D deep-drawing material, and DX51D is reduced, unless the customer explicitly notes; if it is used in pipeline insulation projects, the minimum coating is usually required as 240 grams. During the purchasing process, you must pay attention to this detail, because the price increase of it is high, and many companies have experienced being cheated! That is, the goods received is not 240-300 grams, but 80-120 grams...
